CINeSPACE is a project partnership with Scottish Screen, The Lighthouse, the Fraunhofer IGD, VICOMTech, Tracasa, Trivisio and Venis. Being piloted in three cities – Glasgow, Venice and San Sebastian – the project focuses on the way that cities’ culture, history, tourism and art can be accessed through film heritage, played out in a mobile, virtual environment.

Citizens, film lovers and cinema professionals will use an interactive viewing device to access location-specific content. The system will additionally allow users to 'upload' content the form of video and audio clips. Breaking ground in 3D visualisation and immersive reality technologies, a key objective of the three year project is to develop and nurture a collaborative virtual environment for the creation and collaboration of user generated content.
